Although there are lots of things about el British that could be better or improved upon (in my opinion, of course), they’ve certainly done a couple of things right. First, they use energy-efficient lightbulbs in almost every light. How awesome is that? Secondly, in BOTH packed lunches they’ve sent us off with (Cotopaxi and Black Sheep Inn), they’ve included what might be the best idea for a cookie yet—Konitos! Tasty and fun! Yeah, I’m a huge dork.

Hi Karla, This is Jean Poppe. I have been reading your blog from Ecuador. That is the one country that I have spent some time in. My aunt and uncle were missionaries there for a number of years. Two of my cousins still live there in Quito. In case you run into either of them. One is Terrilynn Kadle and she teaches at what used to be the Alliance Academy. I think it has a different name now. The other cousin is MaryBeth (Kadle) Salinas. She is married to an Ecuadorian fellow. She works at a school in Quito also but I'm not sure which one. Sounds like you are really having some interesting experiences. I was there for about 6 weeks in the summer of 1970. I'm sure things are much more modern now.
Puedes traer algunas de esas galletas por favor??? Gracias chica. Parecen come pequenos cones de helado.
